My name is Kamal M. Ahmed AlEkhnawy. I've
been teaching Arabic as a foreign/second language since 1988. During
that time I've worked in different recognized language instituations:
International Language Institutes (ILI), The American University in Cairo (AUC)
and Cairo American College (CAC). However, I taught all different
levels at ILI for two years; I also taught at the CASA program at AUC for
three consecutive summer schools; and I have been teaching at CAC since
1992. At CAC, I've taught all different levels of Modern Standard Arabic as
a second /foreign language and all levels of Colloquial Arabic as a foreign language.
Moreover, I've been teaching the Arabic I.B program since it has been
established at CAC. Moreover, I've taught Egyptian culture through movies.
During my professional
career as an Arabic instructor, I've attended many international conferences
and workshops: ACTFL, MESA, I.B., and NESA. I also presented a workshop in
NESA. Furthermore, I wrote a book on rhetoric and made a manual guide for
Arabic teachers on Nahw.
